FPGA Design Engineer (Digital RF)

Due to continued growth and further investment, we are looking to expand our Digital RF division. Joining a small, proactive and multidisciplined team you will play a pivotable role in the design and development of our Digital products.

Key responsibilities include:

To design and develop a range of modules and equipment for digital IF

Integration and test of digital IF equipment

Produce VHDL code for VITA-49 or similar network SDR transport protocols

Scripting in TCL designs utilizing IP Cores for rapid development

Build scripting to support continuous integration

Design and development of test benches to prove VHDL code

Conduct floor-planning and timing analysis of designs, achieving timing closure

Test of VHDL code on target platform

Integration of firmware into application design

About you:

This opportunity will suit someone with a strong background in network protocols and working knowledge of communications systems and digital signal processing. It is likely that you have secured your experience from working in software radio, or a related discipline. 

Essential to be successful in this role:

A pragmatic approach to the implementation of FPGA based network equipment

Flexible team player with excellent communication skills

Previous experience of SDR protocols such as VITA-49

Direct experience of MPSoC Parts is preferred

We are flexible with where you will work for this role. This opportunity you can choose to work at our offices in Madley, Hereford or Rickmansworth, London.
