ETL Systems today announced the acquisition of Amphinicy Technologies, a specialist developer of software solutions for the SATCOM and Earth Observation markets. This acquisition brings together two complementary businesses in the satellite communications sector, creating a more comprehensive offering for an industry undergoing rapid technological change.

As operators face growing demand for automation, virtualisation and intelligent network management, they are increasingly looking for partners capable of delivering integrated solutions. By bringing Amphinicy Technologies into the ETL Systems group of companies, the combined businesses will offer customers a broader portfolio that helps them solve more complex ground segment challenges and accelerate the transition towards increasingly digital, software-defined and virtualised satellite networks.
The acquisition positions both ETL and Amphinicy to support existing customers while investing in new applications and emerging markets across SATCOM, EO, 5G NTN, defence, government, and other critical communications sectors.
Amphinicy’s established software portfolio, which includes Monica, a modern monitoring and control system and Blink, an innovative wideband software modem used by industry leaders across the EO and SATCOM sectors, complements ETL’s existing RF and digital product ranges. This integrated offering will support customers throughout the lifecycle of their satellite networks, from existing RF infrastructure to the increasingly virtualised ground segment of the future.
Amphinicy will continue to operate its software business autonomously within the ETL Systems group, including the ongoing development of ViSAGE, the first virtualised 5G-NTN Gateway-as-a-service platform. It will maintain its vendor-agnostic approach and continue to support its existing customer base. This will ensure continuity for current customers while enabling closer collaboration on integrated ETL solutions.
Kevin Dunne, CEO of ETL Systems, said: “The SATCOM market is changing rapidly. Our customers increasingly expect partners who can deliver complete solutions that combine proven RF performance with digital capabilities. Bringing Amphinicy on board represents an important milestone in that journey for us.
Amphinicy has built an outstanding reputation for innovative software products and service excellence. Working together, we can provide customers with a truly end-to-end offering that spans both the analogue and digital domains.”
Toni Jelavic, CEO of Amphinicy Technologies, added: “This is an exciting new chapter for Amphinicy, our employees, and our customers. ETL shares our commitment to engineering excellence and long-term customer relationships, so it is a strong strategic fit. For our customers, nothing changes in the way we support them. Our commitment to existing deployments is unchanged, and our team will continue delivering the service they have come to expect.
With ETL’s investment, global presence, and complementary expertise, we can accelerate our product roadmap, reach new markets, and create more value for customers both in Europe and across the world.”
Amphinicy’s existing leadership, customer relationship and product development activities will continue following the acquisition, supported by ETL’s international presence and investment.
