ETL Systems is proud to announce that we have been named Manufacturer of the Year (over £25m) at Insider’s Made in the Midlands Awards 2026. This recognition highlights the strength, innovation and global impact of our manufacturing capability, and the exceptional people who make it possible.
Celebrating Manufacturing Excellence in the Midlands
Held at the Macdonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham, this year’s awards brought together the region’s most forward‑thinking and influential manufacturers. Hosted by PJ Ellis and supported by sponsors Mills & Reeve, Virgin Money and Moore Kingston Smith, the event showcased the products, ideas and breakthroughs that have shaped the Midlands’ industrial landscape over the past 12 months.
In a region renowned for engineering heritage and world‑class production, competition was fierce. Being recognised among such a diverse and accomplished group of manufacturers is an honour in itself.

Why ETL Stood Out
As one of the UK’s leading satellite communications companies, ETL Systems continues to push the boundaries of RF equipment for critical infrastructure. Over the past year, our teams have delivered breakthrough technologies, expanding what’s possible in global connectivity and strengthening our position in more than 130 export markets.
This award is a testament to the dedication, precision and expertise of our production team. Their commitment ensures that every product we design and manufacture meets the highest standards demanded by our customers across the satcoms industry.
A Night to Remember
Members of our manufacturing, sales and marketing teams attended the ceremony to celebrate the achievement together. The atmosphere was electric, an inspiring reminder of the innovation and resilience that define the Midlands manufacturing community.
We also extend our congratulations to the shortlisted companies, Unipart, Amtico and Board24, whose contributions continue to elevate the region’s reputation for excellence.
Looking Ahead
Winning this award is both a milestone and a motivator. We’re excited to continue advancing RF and digital IF technology and strengthening the UK’s role in the global satcoms sector.
We look forward to joining our fellow regional winners again in Manchester this November for the Made in the UK national awards.
