Executive Team

Thomas joined ETL in 2024, bringing an incredible wealth of experience to the team, with a background deeply rooted in test and measurement, environmental testing where he gained extensive exposure to RF and microwave technology. Having spent the last 8 years making waves in the SatCom industry.

Alex joined ETL Systems in 2023 as Chief Operating Officer. He brings with him over 25 years’ experience as a transformational leader with deep knowledge of manufacturing, operations and supply chain management. Before joining ETL, he held senior leadership positions with Magellan Aerospace, Cobham group and most recently as Vice President of Operations and UK Managing Director at Abaco Systems.

As a seasoned people leader, Alex understands the day to day demands of the manufacturing and operations environment and is passionate about engaging, developing and empowering his teams.

Kevin joined ETL Systems in 2023 as Chief Executive Officer. He brings with him over 20 years’ experience in RF Systems within Satellite and Defence communications markets. Before joining ETL, he was Vice President and Managing Director of the Microwave, Microelectronics and Secure Communications Divisions of API Technologies Corporation. Kevin has significant experience of leading technology companies and will bring new skills and ideas to help ETL Systems unlock the next phase of its growth journey.

Joanna joined ETL Systems in 2022, during a time of rapid and exciting growth for the company. As the head of ETL’s HR department, Joanna provides strategic HR leadership to all areas of the business. She brings over 20 years of experience to the Executive Team, with past roles spanning areas including Learning & Development and Organisational Design. Most recently she oversaw HR delivery on a global basis for Genus PLC group functions as a senior member of the HR function at Genus PLC, working alongside the Global Executive Leadership Team to deliver people strategy across EMEA, APAC, LATAM and North America.

John joined the company in 2022, bringing more than 30 years of industry experience to ETL Systems. He has previously worked as Vice President of one of the world’s leading telecommunications and satellite component businesses. During that time, he oversaw product development, manufacturing and operations, as well as business development and sales, working closely with industry leaders such as OneWeb, Telesat and Inmarsat.

Paul joined the team in 2018, bringing over 15 years’ experience in the satellite communications industry. In that time he has taken lead roles in the design and development of industry leading avionics SATCOM terminals, spacecraft RF systems and satellite ground segment equipment, covering both ends of the SATCOM link.

Paul relocated to the UK from Cape Town, South Africa in 2016. He has a Bachelor of Technology in Electronic Engineering from the University of South Africa.

Having gained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Environmental Management, Robb joined the Operations department in 2008 as a graduate. Following his promotion to Assistant Operations Manager in 2011 and to his current role in 2016, he has continued to grow with the company and offers considerable contributions in the areas of business data analysis, ERP systems and materials planning.

Simon has a Bachelor's of Science Honour Degree in Real Time Systems Design and has worked for over 25 years in the Engineering industry.

Simon joined the team in 2018

Sunil has a Masters in Business and Management and a Bachelor's of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering. He is also a PRINCE2 Practitioner and has 10 years Project Management experience.

Sunil joined the team in 2018.

Mo joined ETL in July 2010 bringing over 25 years of experience in Engineering and Electronics Manufacturing since his graduation with a B.Sc. Honours Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Mo specialises in Lean Manufacturing, Just In Time, Six Sigma, Process Design and Quality Management; has contributed to increased production output, improved product quality, and the growing success of the business of his previous employers.
