Vortex L-band Matrix System (Downlink) 64 x 256

  • Description

    The multi-module 64 x 256 Vortex Matrix System is a distributive (full fan out) Matrix System based on our Vortex VTX-100 series matrix unit.

    The L-band expandable matrix system has been designed to provide high resilience for mission critical applications, with redundant, hot-swap active components.

    The system requires 28 RU rack space in 1 x 19" rack depending on rack size / cable density requirements and ancillary equipment (splitter type, termination panels, LNB powering etc).

    The L-band Matrix is scalable to a maximum system size of 1024 inputs x 1024  outputs.

    A variety of impedances and connector types are available.

  • Matrix Types

    Non-blocking: this means any input can be routed to any output.

    Full Fan-out Matrix (or fully distributive or splitting matrix): any input can be routed to any output. One input can be routed to many outputs. Each output can only have one input. Tends to be more RX.

    In general, our solid state (L-band) matrices are non-blocking.
