Stores Assistant


Working as a Stores Assistant in ETL’s busy and expanding stores, you will form an important part of the Operations side of the business.  The main responsibilities are goods-inwards inspection and receipt, inspection and packing of finished goods and sub-assemblies, works order kitting, and stock management and control. Secondary tasks include serving staff at the stores hatch, supporting other departments, and aiding in the general running of the stores.

As part of a team of 4 other Stores Assistants reporting directly to a Stores Supervisor, daily workload can vary greatly in size and variety of tasks. Therefore, you will benefit from having a proactive approach and the ability to move from one task to another seamlessly. 

Some experience of working in a Stores environment as opposed to a Warehouse is advantageous.  The role requires interaction with most other departments, and therefore a good level of customer service and a professional but personable approach is key.  Other essential characteristics are a good attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, a positive and enthusiastic attitude, good general computer skills, and being flexible to change.
