RF Design Engineer (RF over Optics)

Are you a capable RF Design Engineer looking for an exciting new role within a forward-thinking organisation?

Do you have a passion for the application and development of Fibre Optics within the Satellite Communications sector?

Are you organised and able to support on multiple projects with short lead times?

Joining as our NEW RF over Optics Design Engineer, you will support & develop our RF over Fibre (RoF) products range whilst providing additional support to the wider Engineering Team. You will extend the range of optical fibre receiver and transmitter modules, converting RF (70MHz to 3GHz) to optics and vice-versa and to introduce CWDM and DWDM fibre systems.

Applying your holistic design approach, you will work in partnership with our Team of Mechanical, Electrical & Software Engineers to develop our next generation of products. We hope that you will take ownership of the product lifecycle & become our RF over Optics Champion. 

To succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:

Electronics, Communications, or related Engineering Degree

In depth knowledge & first-hand experience within Optics and RF hardware and systems

Solid understanding of optical device physics and ability to apply this knowledge to practical solutions
