We are recruiting for a Master Scheduler to work within our Operations team based in Hereford.

The Master Scheduler will plan and coordinate the order fulfilment schedule by liaising with our Sales, Engineering, Production and Operations teams.  The position is also the primary point of contact for Operations and Production related scheduling enquiries. 

Your duties will include:

  • Point of contact for all scheduling enquiries relating to order fulfilment
  • Manage stock parameters for purchased and manufactured items, working with Production and Purchasing where required
  • Timely review and estimation of lead-times for urgent sales enquiries
  • Scheduling of production builds based on material requirements (MRP) and production capacity and resourcing (MRP II)
  • Detailed production planning based on finite resources and BOM level dependencies
  • Scheduling of committed despatch dates for customer orders
  • Chair daily scheduling meeting between Operations and Production
  • Communicate with suppliers where required on behalf of Purchasing in order to expedite schedules
  • Coordinate any changes to active sales orders by liaising with Sales, Engineering and Production
  • Collaborate with Sales and Engineering on forecasting, through both the product development roadmap and ‘hot’ opportunities
  • Work with Production Engineering to ensure that the standard planning data is correct and updated when required
  • Collect and analyse information on downtime, costs, scheduling timeframes and accuracy
  • Drive continuous improvement across the business by working with and supporting the Operations Manager in areas relevant to the role
  • Train other departments on how to correctly use all scheduling related tools
  • Keep personal skills and knowledge up to date and to attend training when required.
  • Support other colleagues with any additional duties or tasks as may be reasonably expected within the scope of the role.

 

If you are degree qualified and have 8+ years of experience in scheduling and planning, using an ERP System including MRP and MRP II and a deep understanding of manufacturing and the supply chain, preferably with experience in electronics then we would love to hear from you.
