Joining ETL Systems you will be working as part of the multi-disciplinary engineering team the Principal NPI Engineer \ Assistant Team Leader. You will be responsible for assisting with the introduction of new products into the company’s manufacturing establishment.  You will be influential in helping the team achieve continuous improvements to ETL products.   

The role will be centred on product verification and validation testing of new products and ensuring an effective transfer of the project into production, whilst adhering to project deadlines and requirements.

You will also provide leadership and guidance to product development and manufacturing teams as well as providing leadership cover for the Head of NPI.   

You will also be responsible for conducting factory acceptance tests, generating test reports and creating test rig hardware and software.

The candidate will be able to manage multiple internal stakeholders and will act as an interface between design and manufacture.

During factory acceptance tests you will represent the company and demonstrate the equipment complies with the published specification, therefore excellent communication skills are essential. 

 

The successful candidate will have experience in the following:

 

Testing active and passive microwave components such power amplifiers, switches, power dividers, frequency converters.

A good understanding of RF parameters: Gain, NF, Intermodulation, VSWR, S-Parameters

Proficient in the use of RF test and measurement equipment:  Vector Network Analysers, Spectrum Analysers and Signal generators.

Strong foundation in electronics and diagnostic skills and be able to fault find to component level.

RF circuit design and system analysis

Identify problems, and solving them as early in the design cycle as possible

Generation of verification test procedures, reports, and test scripts

Test automation: VB.Net, Labview, Python
