L-band Matrix (downlink) 8 x 24


  • Description

    The 4U L-band distributive matrix is a high performance switch matrix (or router) with up to 8 inputs and 24 outputs, integrated power supplies and matrix controller in a 4U high shelf.

    The matrix design is ideal for marine applications, which have non-symmetric satellite downlinks in terms of number of inputs and outputs. Offering the matrix in a single unit enhances RF performance, reduces cost and is faster to install than traditional solutions.

    This particular unit has 50 ohm BNC connectors, but other impedances and connector types are available.

  • Matrix Types

    Non-blocking: this means any input can be routed to any output.

    Full Fan-out Matrix (or fully distributive or splitting matrix): any input can be routed to any output. One input can be routed to many outputs. Each output can only have one input. Tends to be more RX.

    In general, our solid state (L-band) matrices are non-blocking.
