  • Description

    The Broadband distributive matrix is a high performance switch matrix (or router) with up to 8 inputs and 8 outputs, operating over the 50-1000MHz frequency range. The unit benefits from integrated dual redundant, hotswap power supplies and is housed in a 2U high, 19” rack mountable shelf.

    The matrix incorporates a standard ETL controller which can be remotely controlled via either a PC (using ETL software) or integrated in to an M & C System. The front panel LCD display allows for the matrix to be configured including setting of routes through the matrix, and IP and serial settings. Monitoring and Control of the matrix can be done via the Ethernet (RJ45) port or Serial ports (RS232 / RS422 / RS485).

    This particular unit is supplied with 50 ohm N-type connectors, but a range of connector types and impedances are available (model numbers will vary). This unit can also be supplied with LNB Powering.

  • Matrix Types

    Non-blocking: this means any input can be routed to any output.

    Full Fan-out Matrix (or fully distributive or splitting matrix): any input can be routed to any output. One input can be routed to many outputs. Each output can only have one input. Tends to be more RX.

    In general, our solid state (L-band) matrices are non-blocking.

     

     

  • Matrix Sizes

    The 2U 8x8 Broadband Matrix and 3U 16x16 Broadband Matrix are standard building blocks for most applications with dual redundant PSU's, a CPU and local control panel. Remote control is via serial or Ethernet.
