32 Inputs x 64 Outputs Distributive Hot-swap part populated Vortex L-band Matrix.
The Vortex L-band Matrix is housed in an 8U 19" rack enclosure. It has a module capacity of 64 inputs x 64 outputs, but can be part populated to any size. A variety of impedances and connector types are available.
ETL has a broad L-band Switch Matrix and L-band Router range for Satellite communications, including the hot-swap Vortex L-band Matrix which is used for many high resilience high performance applications.
The Vortex L-band Matrix has hot swap of all active components - RF cards, CPU's and PSU's. In addition the Vortex L-band Matrix has the designed-in resilience provided by dual redundant CPU's, and dual redundant PSU's.
The Vortex L-band Matrix also has extensive on-board monitoring - and reporting - of RF card amplifier status, CPU and PSU status and HMI communications.
The Vortex L-band matrix has hot swap of all active components - RF cards, VGA human interface, CPU's and PSU's.
In addition the Vortex L-band Matrix has the designed-in resilience provided by hot-swap RF cards, dual redundant CPU's and dual redundant PSU's.
The Vortex L-band Matrix also has extensive on-board monitoring - and reporting - of RF card amplifier status, CPU and PSU status and HMI communications.
Control of the RF Matrix can be done locally via the touchscreen and VGA display, and remote connection is via RS232/485 serial and RJ45 Ethernet ports.
Non-blocking: this means any input can be routed to any output.
In general our solid state (L-band) matrices are non-blocking.
Full Fan-out Matrix (or fully distributive or splitting matrix): any input can be routed to any output. One input can be routed to many outputs. Each output can only have one input. Tends to be more RX.
Up to 32 inputs x 32 outputs we would recommend the NiGMa matrix which has a full capacity of 32 inputs x 32 outputs, but can be supplied part-populated, and expanded in single increments. Multiple modules can be joined together to make systems such as 32 inputs x 16 outputs.
Up to 64 inputs x 64 outputs we would recommend the Vortex matrix which has a full capacity of 64 inputs x 64 outputs, but can be populated in increments of 16.
Up to 128 inputs x 128 outputs we would recommend the Vulcan matrix which has a full capacity of 128 inputs x 128 outputs, but can be populated in increments of 8.
