ETL Systems was founded in 1984, by Mike Bush, currently President. Ian Hilditch and Dr Esen Bayar joined the company, via a buy-in, in 2003 as CEO and CTO/COO respectively. Esen leads a dedicated design and engineering team, which sees projects through from initial conceptualization to final testing and commissioning. Ian heads up the global sales and marketing resource.
Jonathan Morrish joined ETL in 2000 and is now Chief Engineer, piloting most product development projects. Steven Clements is Product Design Manager, and Andrew Wheatley leads Software Engineering.
ETL evolved from a solution-based approach, working initially with Broadcasters and Telcos in the United Kingdom and Europe . This end-user foundation allowed us to understand the needs of satellite ground station operators and craft products, which really met these requirements. Today, we are a global supplier adding cable companies, satellite operating companies, and systems integrators to our blue-chip customer base. We ship throughout Europe , Asia , and the United States .
ETL’s emphasis has been on innovation and build quality. We understand that our equipment is mission critical to our clients. Redundancy is built in to most of our products. We are currently implementing an ISO 9000 based Quality Management System. Quality drills right down to the component level and is the bedrock on which our heritage is founded.
Solutioneering remains a strong driver for the business and recent commercial successes (see Product News on home page) have been powered, for example, by customer requirements for compact broadband matrices, and high isolation L-band matrices. With our dedicated test facility we can develop and prove a product in the prototyping phase, allowing customers to design and plan their entire systems, confident that ETL will deliver.
We also offer on-site or video conference training, installation, support contracts and extended warranties.
