Fiber-Span customers: ETL can support your GPS needs!



With the news that Fiber-Span has gone out of business, we wanted to let their customers know that we can support their GPS over Fiber requirements.

 

ETL's GPS/GNSS over fibre can transport a GPS signal from an antenna to a GPS receiver up to 10km away.

 

The outdoor transmit unit features an IP65 rated weatherproof housing with flexible mounting options. It is provided with short circuit protected 12V 500mA antenna power, with LED indicators for module and antenna power and status. Single or dual redundant external power supplies are available as an option.

 

The indoor receive modules feature antenna fail alarm pass through and can be provided as standalone units or housed in a 19" rack mount chassis , which can hold up to 4 modules.

GPS over Fiber Outdoor Unit (ODU) - Transmit

ETL Model SRY-TX-L1-911, single channel GPS (GNSS) over fibre (single mode, 1310nm) transmit unit in a compact waterproof housing.

The unit features redundant hot swap external power supplies with signal monitoring on the receive unit, including antenna fail alarm pass through to the indoor receiver output. Short circuit protected antenna power 12V, 500mA is provided. LED indicators are provided for module OK and antenna power.

It is intended for use with ETL's GPS (GNSS) receive unit SRY-RX-L1-466-xxxx or SRY-RX-L1-266-xxxx.

 

GPS over Fiber Indoor Unit - Receive

ETL Model SRY-RX-L1-266, single channel GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) over single mode fibre receive module for StingRay 200 Series chassis.

The unit features full monitoring of both the Rx and signal from the Tx, including antenna fail alarm pass through on the RF output.

For use with ETL's GNSS transmit outdoor unit SRY-TX-L1-911-xxxx.


ETL Model SRY-RX-L1-466, single channel GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) over single mode fibre receive standalonemodule.
