An LNB Power Supply shelf may require 13 / 18 volts DC and /or a 22 KHz tone on/off to determine the polarity of the L-band feed. ETL has a range of LNB Power Supply units which allow local and / or remote selection of these biases to control the LNB.
In general 300 to 500 mA per LNB is available and outputs are generally fused at 1A.
These LNB Power Supply shelves have dual redundant hot swap power supplies which are changeable from the front or rear panels.
LNB current monitoring and reporting is available on some models (see for example model 2774) with front panel and remote alarms triggered when a window around a user-set "normal" LNB current level is exceeded.
Most LNB Power Supply shelves have loop through DC insertion onto the RF chain, with the usual variety of RF connectors and impedances available. A few LNB Power Supplies have DC outputs for direct powering of LNB's (such as the 2 channel model 2771).
ETL Power Supplies are available with BNC 50Ω, BNC 75Ω, F-type 75Ω, N-type 50Ω and SMA 50Ω connectors.
