Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our Engineering department as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, working with a team of highly skilled developers and delivering commercial projects and R&D work across a variety of products and technologies.
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be producing 3D models and mechanical drawings to industry standards for manufacturing purposes. The successful candidate will need to design and develop a range of modules and equipment using packages such as Solid Works. In addition the successful candidate will carry out thermal analysis and the design for thermal dissipation, using convection and forced air cooling techniques where applicable.
You will be joining a team of diverse skills and experience and the job requires a motivated individual who is experienced in taking responsibility and can independently deliver results on both departmental and business projects.
The ideal candidate will possess a degree/or relevant qualification and/or experience in an Engineering or similar discipline. In addition we are looking for an individual to have extensive experience in the use of 3D CAD design (using Solid Works), with the ability to generate manufacturing and assembly drawings.
Working as a member of the sales team the role will involve handling a wide range of sales enquiries and assisting with sales support activity for ETL Systems.
Primary responsibilities for the role will include: first line customer support and query resolution, quote generation and preparing customer proposals.
The ideal candidate will be degree qualified and/or have proven experience working in a sales environment by delivering first class customer service coupled with excellent interpersonal skills. Organisational and time management skills are critical for this role along with the ability to problem solve.

Fixed Term Contract (Full Time or Part Time Hours)
An opportunity has arisen for an organised, enthusiastic and passionate person to provide secretarial, administration and configuration support to the Engineering Department at ETL Systems Limited.
Reporting to the Technical Director and working as part of the Engineering Administration Team, you will provide day to day administrative support.
You will have a minimum of two years' administration experience, with proven ability to work under pressure, and to meet tight deadlines.
General daily responsibilities will include arranging meetings, taking minutes, liaising with members of staff in different departments, preparing expense forms and preparing company presentation
Organisation skills are essential, as well as good computer literacy, speed and accuracy skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
You will be an excellent communicator and be able to build relationships at all levels and have the ability to influence others in a challenging environment. You will need a can-do attitude, be comfortable with change and shifting priorities with the ability to exercise tact and discretion in preparing and handling a wide range of Secretarial tasks.
Principal RF Design Engineer E14-FY17
Location: Madley, Hereford
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our growing Engineering department. This position will take a key design role in the RF & Microwave design team working proactively on commercial projects as well as R&D work. You will be working on a broad range of products including passive and active circuit designs, with a particular bias towards leading the RF Amplifier and ETL Components product lines.
We are looking for an RF and Microwave Design Engineer with extensive hardware development experience. This role is best suited to passionate individuals with a strong background and knowledge in the fields of RF design and technologies.
Experience of designing and developing a range of RF and Microwave products over the spectrum of DC-6GHz is essential, with experience up to Ku/K/Ka bands being highly desirable. You will also lead the design and development of new ranges of products, including technical documentation. This role requires an excellent understanding of interaction and relationships between key parameters including gain, power levels, linearity, VSWR, NF, signal related spurii etc. Some knowledge of the Satellite Communications industry/technologies/techniques is desirable.
You will be a strong team player, able to operate as both an innovator and an implementer. A strong analytical approach is desired with a clear track record of success and delivery to cost and timescales, benefitted by your commercial understanding. In addition to this, you will have the ability to lead projects or small teams and mentor junior colleagues.
Graduate Test Engineer P07-FY17
Location: Madley, Hereford
ETL are offering opportunities to join our test team. Graduates will be engaged on RF and microwave equipment testing to include; Electrical and Environmental.
You will work closely with the Team Leader to improve test automation and diagnostic tools.
The successful candidate will be degree qualified and/or possess the relevant experience. You will be determined to help us test our new cutting edge products in addition to testing a catalogue of existing established products.
We are looking for graduates who are passionate about RF testing and developing their careers. Our graduates will have excellent team working and communication abilities and be able to quickly learn.
