What is Solutioneering?
ETL have a very extensive product range. Many of the products are the result of customer build challenges. This is where our customers have asked us to solve a particular technical problem set. We bring together building blocks of technology - many existing and some new for an application and put them together to deliver the solution. This is what we call SOLUTIONEERING!
Examples of recent solutioneering challenges include:
- IF switch matrix or router with amplifiers and attenuators in each RF chain as well as band pass and band stop filters. This is a very specialist intelligence application of our standard matrix.
- L-band processing unit for microwave links with AGC and fixed gain amplifiers, LNB powering (adjustable voltage) and so on.
- Splitter shelf for a VSAT hub with redundant auto-switching amplifiers.
- Variable gain redundant amplifier - multi channel.
- Low cost IF equaliser amplifier.

How do I get a Custom Solution?
If you can as tightly as possible define the product or problem or even technical specifications you require then this is the starting point. Send the information to ETL info@etlsystems.com with a clear indication of whether this is a one-off or you may need multiple units, and ideally a target price. We will then evaluate if it is within our capabilities and also do an outline design. We will also prepare a firm price quotation. THen just send in the PO! We send a fuller specification with our Order Acknowledgement.
Please remember to include things like RF connectors, impedances, dual or single PSU's, remote control ports, and insertion or return loss requirements, isolation, and flatness if you know them. Several of these are on our RFQ page.
